TESTS ARE ONLY A TOOL TO HELP US IMPROVE YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION.  TESTS ARE NOT THE TOTAL PICTURE OF THE SUCCESS A CHILD MAKES IN A YEARS TIME.  SOME STUDENTS TEST POORLY EVEN IF THEY ARE ACHIEVING.  SOME TESTS ARE NOT STRUCTURED FAIRLY.  CURRICULUM COVERED MAY VARY FROM TIME TO TIME BETWEEN SCHOOLS.  WHILE WE VALUE TEST SCORES AS TOOLS, WE WILL NOT TEACH TO TESTS, AND WE WILL NOT EVALUATE OUR TEACHERS ON STUDENT TEST SCORES.

At CCA. students are tested on reading and math using Star Assessment Testing when they enter and again at the end of each quarter.  Curriculum may be enhanced, advanced or adjusted based on these test scores.

It is our goal to test each child in the spring of each year using a reputable standardized achievement test.  This will be used to measure continued progress, or to diagnose areas that need special attention.

Students in grades K-2 will be tested with the Terra Nova Test.

Students in grades 3-8 will be tested with the Ohio Acheivement Tools.

Students in H.S. will follow the Ohio Department of Education standards for graduation.
